  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 ½ cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a greased baking dish, layer the cooked lasagna noodles at the bottom.
  3. Spread marinara sauce over the noodles, then add dollops of ricotta cheese.
  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top and layer thin tomato slices.
  5. Add grated Parmesan and torn basil leaves; repeat the layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with marinara and cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving with extra basil garnish.
